Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, 2016Ergin Çavuşoğlu — Installation Support & Spatial Resolution
Turkish artist Ergin Çavuşoğlu’s work often inhabits complicated spatial geometries and optical illusions. During a Guggenheim installation of his anamorphic vinyl work (Dust Breeding, 2016), the team encountered alignment and adjacency challenges within the architecture. I worked hands-on with the artist, over several days, resolving spatial logic issues, adjusting installation geometry, and extending graphic elements into adjacent architectural surfaces so the work read cleanly and convincingly.
My involvement ensured the piece achieved its intended perceptual effect, and later I was brought in again at another venue to assist with a subsequent installation—speaking to both trust and collaborative rapport.
This work illustrates not just technical acumen but design judgment in complex spatial environments.
