Dahn Vo – Exhibition Scrims and Wallpaper

For Danh Vo’s Take My Breath Away (2014), I collaborated closely with the artist and curatorial team to extend the exhibition’s immersive environment beyond traditional graphics. I oversaw the design and creation of transparent scrims—digitally illustrating historical reliefs that became large architectural curtains within the gallery space. This demanded multiple rounds of 3D mockups, press tests on actual fabric, and iterative refinements until both artist and curator were satisfied.

I also managed the production and installation of custom wallpaper derived from a physical sample, and in charge of producing and designing embossed sculptural labels as part of the Vo’s artwork. My role bridged concept and execution—ensuring that tactile elements, material decisions, and spatial effects aligned with the exhibition’s immersive intent.

This work sits at the intersection of fabrication, design, and curatorial interpretation—turning conceptual gestures into integrated architectural code.
